Tennis Forehand I 5 Steps To Hit A Perfect Forehand

Tennis Forehand I 5 Steps To Hit A Perfect Forehand     How would you like to learn a five-step formula to hit a perfect forehand like a professional tennis player?  In today's article, I will share a comprehensive breakdown on Marin Cilic’s tennis forehand. This...

  1. Bakthan

The hand turn finish is the same as the wind shield wiper forehand.
    Am I right?

    • Jeff Salzenstein

Different in my view. The hand turn is a fuller swing.

  2. Greg Milano

Great stuff, Jeff. I love how you blend the low-to-high swing with also finishing with the racquet head facing down over the opposite side. Very well done.

    • Jeff Salzenstein

Thank you, Greg I really appreciate it.

  3. Sandra boll

Fantastic. I teach Tennis and this is a great tip for my kids

  4. Noushin

Many thanks for sharing your experience!

Surprisingly, I seem to be more consistent when I hit a little flatter than when I try to hit with more topspin on my forehand. Maybe this is because I am not in a pure semi-western grip. At my age, it’s difficult to teach an old dog new tricks and change grips, but I’m going to again try this higher racket path with lower followthrough pattern next time I get on court. Due to the numerous injuries I’ve had over the years, I hit now more with slice than topspin of of both sides, but need to be able to occasionally generate more punch on my forehand, which has developed ito the weakest part of my game.
