Handle The Deep High Backhand

Today’s tennis tip, we are talking about the backhand. To be more specific, we are going to talk about that high deep backhand that drives tennis players nuts.

I know many people hate hitting high backhands. Many tennis players are not given the correct tennis tips to handle a high backhand or are given the WRONG tennis tips.

From my time spent on the tour, I noticed that many of the top pros did specific things when it came to hitting a high backhand. First of all, the pro did not shuffle back when they needed to hit a high backhand. What I want you to do is to learn how to drop step crossover to get back to the ball.

No Time To Shuffle

You will not have time to shuffle on this high backhand.

Taking a lot of little shuffles is the WRONG kind of tennis tip that most players are given and they wonder why they feel like they do not have enough time to hit a high backhand. Next time you are on the court, and have to hit a high backhand, try out this tennis tip and use the drop step crossover.

Awesome tip. Thanks my bro seems to love it. But I have a single handed backhand (I don’t think its time to switch to two handed). My question is what can I do to take the on rise well. Since number of times shuffling back causes loss vital court positioning.
    Thanks for vid.

Thanks Jeff. Access to good coaches here in India is really hard. I just learn from you and try to implement it on court. Thanks so much for the great tips.
